i know some of you out there besides sonicstef (whose is great) have built personal websites, where are they? who did you use? were they ease? expensive?

I've made a few personal website for myself. I always used Geocities/yahoo (Free). I'm now working on my FH's corporate website (not free ).
As for web development software: HotmetalPro (html editor) Fireworks (graphics) Adobe Photoshop (photos) CuteFTP (for file transferring) Arles Image Web Page Creator (for image indexing/thumbnails)
Most of the software I used had demos available for download. That's how I got started and learned.
