Personal Wedding Website?...

So I think it's a good idea to create a wedding website for all my family and friends to enjoy. I'm just having trouble finding a good website. I would like to have the web address to be personalized... ramonandjaryceswedding.com...

Any suggestions?

i was wondering the same thing... im not too computer savvy.

I used a web hoster: www.mywedding.com. It has a lot of options to choose from and allows for your own creativity. if you'd like to see mines, let me know and i'll FM you the url!

In order to get something like ramonandjarceyswedding.com, you would need create your own website. These are the steps:

1. register your domain (www.whatever.com)
2. get your website hosted.
both can be done through www.register.com and other websites. registering and web hosting cost different amounts of money based on the register company and web host.
3. design your website using a program like dreamweaver ($$$$$) or nvu (free but kind of difficult to use). or you could have someone design your website but this is $$$$ too.
4. publish your website using a program like filezilla (free but kind of confusing unless you know what you're doing

This is probably more than you want to get into (money, time and effort).

The other route is using a pre-designed wedding website such as www.ewedding.com or www.mywedding.com. These are free. There are pre-designed wedding websites which you pay for, and in these websites, you have more options in terms of design, although personally, I think the free ones and fine and give enough options. Using a pre-designed wedding website would result in a url such as www.mywedding.com/ramonandjarcey.

If you decide to go with the pre-designed site, it is easy. If you decide to create your own (option 1), feel free to fm me if you have any questions. I recently made my own websites and now know all the trials and tribulations involved.

You forgot the fact that the tree is draped in crystals and our names are accented with gold leaf. There are spot lights highlighting the names that change color every 2 minutes to draw attention to it's greatness......a greatness that all flock to see. It's truly spectacular. We'll have to take you some time.

You know how i do Laura, once this mouth gets going, it hard to stop it!

We chose a tree because it grows and strengthens over time much like our friendship. It has occurred naturally and has a natural beauty that only mother nature could have created....unlike your bridge that was forced to exist through forged steel that is hard and unforgiving. If you cut it down, that is ok for the roots have grown long and strong and can never be destroyed.

FH thinks I'm crazy with my sudden outbursts of laughter. I love matching wits. Thanks Alesia.

earthquakes and explosions make bridges disappear among many other things. the oxygen that our tree has made has helped bring life to other things around it.....so a part of our awe-inspiring will live on for as long as there is breath to take

Amanda it's the BROOKLYN bridge honey it can withstand anything! Remember the tornado is Bay Ridge last summer! We Brooklynites and our bridge are an unstoppable force not dormant like a tree! But I gotta give it to ya, trees can reincarnate themselves into many things like toilet paper!

In the interest of total fairness Goldie has won the wedding website brawl. She put way more thought into the stories and the pictures. I'm going to have to get on that and challenge her to a rematch!!!!!
