Personalized mini wine bottles?

Personalized mini wine bottles?

For those of you who gave this as a favor, did you buy the bottles and put your own label on them or did you have someone do it? We're doing this for our e-party and a local wine shop will give us 10% off over 50 bottles, and Sutter Home will do personalized labels for free, but I will need to do it tomorrow and they may not get here in time for the party on 12/1. What do you think? TIA

I know this is an old post but did you ever find the bottles and if so, how did you end up decorating them?

I did!

I bought 4 packs of mini Merlot and Chardonnay bottles...about 80 total. I got a 10% discount and spent about $110 on them.

We soaked off the labels and I made one with snowflakes and it said 'Heather and Tim's Engagement Party Eat Drink and Be Married!' We also tied red ribbons with heart shaped charms around the neck.

They were a hit!!!!

I did this for my e-party. We went to our local beer distributor and got a great deal on mini champagne bottles. It worked out to be cheaper for us b/c at the same time he put in an order for regular size bottles since it was right before new years eve. (It also helps that my family & friends always use him) We used Asti which had plastic labels that were attached like those plastic wraps on easter eggs. All we did was slice off the labels so there was no soaking off a messy sticker. I took the e-proof of our e-party invite and photo shopped all the wording off and added our own. 'Thank you for Toasting to Nicole & Charles' Engagement'
It was a total hit! The best is we still have some left over so when ever we feel like celebrating we just open a mini bottle which is the perfect amount. I'll post a pic of it later on.

I also used the e-proof to make place cards, stickers for small mint tins that said save the date, table #'s, and for our thank you's.

Let me know if you want to use your e-proof and I'll help you clear the words out if you want.

I don't think I have any Sooo much going on I forgot pics.

Anywho, the rule of thumb is you can go to ANY liquor store and ask for a volume discount. Usually it's 10-20%

Mine were bought at a liquor store in Rocky Point in the Kohls shopping center.
