did anyone get the personalized M&M's?? I'm trying to figure out how many I would need. My wedding colors are chocolate brown and I'm using tiffany blue just as an accent color for the reception, so I'd order the customized M&M's in tiffany blue and use regular brown M&M's as filler.
how many should I order for around 150 small favor boxes? It's $12 for 7 oz. of personalized M&M's. I'd probably get the regular brown filler M&M's at Costco or something to save $$.
I wouldn't be ordering them for a few months since it's chocolate, but I just want to get an idea of how much this will cost!! Thanks!!

Are you filling boxes or organza bags? I'm getting these also for my Tiffany Blue and White wedding. I'm not sure how many to order but I'm thinking of ordering 5 bags of each color. I have 100 2x2x2 boxes to fill. I think I estimated 8 bags altogether, but I could be mistaken. I can't wait to buy them....They're so cool, especially since both our names begin w/ Ms..We're the true M&Ms.

I'd be filling the little boxes- I'm undecided if I want chocolate brown boxes with a tiffany blue ribbon or tiffany blue boxes w/ a brown ribbon I have some time so I'll probably change my mind another 10 times lol!!!
Are you doing one box per couple? I was thinking I'd be doing 1 box per person? So maybe I'll get 5 or 6 bags of the personalized tiffany blue and then the rest will be filler brown M&M's.

I'm actually having two favors. One of the favors is for family and special friends only. I'm doing 48 of those, per couple, then I'm doing one box per person, but I you know those things go to waste! Very few people take those favors! I think that's inconsiderate, especially since those M&Ms are expensive! Don't you?

definitely!!!! I know FH's friends will probably be guilty of leaving favors behind (they did it at the e-party).....I'm doing another favor too, and I was originally thinking of having the heart salt & pepper shakers as a 2nd favor, but I think these would be really cute, especially with the tiffany blue & brown!!!

yeah...that's cute! At first, those were my colors but w/ changing the wedding from Spring to summer, I changed the brown to ivory...So now my theme is Tiffany Blue w/ ivory and Silver hints. Good luck to you!

So funny that you ask this question tonight. We're doing pink and brown M&M's per person as one of our favors. I just got all the boxes that they will go in and ordered one pound of pink and one pound of brown (we're Michelle & Michael so we're doing regular M&M's since it's perfect). I just checked how many boxes I can fill tonight w/two pounds of M&M's. Two pounds of M&M's filled 15 of these boxes....HTH.
Got the boxes from Oriental Trading and found the best prices of plain M&M's with ilovesweettreats.com
my sister got them for my shower...i think she bought like 6 or 7 bags to fill up small tins for about 40 guests. they are very cute, but can get expensive

thanks!!! this is very helpful!! I think the boxes I would use would be smaller, but it seems like I'd still need to buy quite a few bags to fill boxes for 150 guests!!

I love the personalized ones!! So I'd probably use them in moderation, and I'll save by using more of the regular brown ones in each box. You should post pics of your finished product- the pink & brown sounds so cute!!
