I'm thinking of ordering personalized cocktail napkins. Did anyone do this? Is this a waste of $$? Do people actually notice them? And how many would I need to order (200ppl @ the wedding)?

personally, i dont' think they're worth the money
you should buy at least 2-3 per guest attending (so you'd need between 400-600 napkins). If / when those run out, the hall will just use their regular napkins.

I was thinking of doing them, but I'm not sure if its a necessity.
Depending on how many guests, it may cost up to $125 or more with shipping -- I might save it towards a chocolate fountain, haha.

I like the idea of personalized napkins, however I'll wait for a sale or free shipping from some site because I'm not too into them for a lot of money.
I'll probably only be doing enough for each guest, I think they'll notice it with their first drink, and then totally forget about them so I don't think its neccessary to have a bunch to last all night.

I would love to get them.. But i think it is a wste of $.... I woudl prefer to use thsoe $100 in somethin else!!!!
I mean, they are a GREAT personalized touch to UR wedding... but still... im not sure...

I plan on doing them but having the RH mix them up with their plain napkins. I only plan to order 100 of them (having 200 guests)

i think they are cute we will prob order them but not multiple ones for the entire night, just some drink napkins to put on the bar as a cute personalized touch, JMO

IMHO - not worth the money! I think they're cute when they are there, but do I notice if they're not? No. If you're gonna spend the money get an upgrade!

I had those. It looked beautiful! People deff notice them. I had them with my monogram and our names and a weding date. Order 400. I also ordered double

I just went to a wedding and I noticed the couple had personalized napkins. I thought it was a nice touch for the cocktail hour!

I had them and loved them. I think it's a nice touch for the CH. I ordered 3 diff color napkins with diff personalization for each color. People did mention they liked them so they did notice, and I like the pro pics of them. I don't think it's a big deal not to have them...I just think they add a lil something extra if you could budget for it.

I already ordered mine. I found them on sale on the knot.com. I ordered 500 napkins. I don't remember how much they were. They came out great though.

I think its a great idea, and def worth it. I am ordering mine just for the bar.....100 napkins cost $16.

I really really really wanted them. Really. I picked them out, got out my credit card, and just when I was about to click submit my mom said to me 'You do realize you are about to spend $200 on napkins.' And I snapped out of it and didn't get them. Trust me, they were NOT missed.
But, you definitely don't need to get 2 or 3 per guest! That's insane! I'd get enough for 1 for every guest and that's even a lot in my opinion. HTH!

we made our own! i read something online about a prior bride who did it
we ordered custom stamps with two of our monogram designs (we had 2 different designs we used throughout the process). bought staz-on ink, which is COMPLETELY WATERPROOF. bought packs of napkins for CHEAP at christmas tree shoppe and party city (pink and ivory)
and went on stamping. it was super easy. and def was a lot cheaper than ordering them!!
also, best part, was that we used the stamp/ink on other DIY projects....like stickers to put on our VH take-out containers
