Personalized Sticker Labels

Im having some trouble finding these for some reason....I found sticker labels but the area where I want to put the guest's name doesnt allow me to put than many letters.

What I want this for is my place cards.....I want a sticker lable with my guests names on them and what table they are to go to. The reason I need them is because I want to put lables on votive candles as place cards....I saw a review very recently where the bride did this and I fell in love. Anybody know a website that allows you to put more than 2 letters as the text? lol.

Do you just want to order printable labels from avery that you can put into your computer and print all your guests names and the table numbers on them? Or do you want individually printed fancy labels to put on the candles?

I have the avery address labels at home and they're great for envelopes (I'm debating using them for our thank-yous when the time comes), but I'm not sure if they'd stick or not on candles. I'd be happy to check for you if you want.

i love this idea of using votive candles as escort cards... i was going to do this too but FH talked me out of it because we have a lot of older guests who he's afraid will burn themselves from carrying the votive to the table.

you could go with avery white labels and print a design onto it when you print the names and table numbers... just a thought..

Are the avery labels like the labels that you put return addresses on? Im not sure what avery labels are? Sorry! If thats what they are though, that might be a good idea! I didnt think of that! I wanted maybe something more dressed up but it would def do the job

The Avery labels I have are a bit larger than return address labels, but they sell them in all different sizes. Mine are about 3.5' x 2'. When I get home tonight I'll check for you about whether they'll stick to a regular candle.

You could also do tea light votives with a label of some sort on them like this with either an unlit candle inside (you could even give out personalized matchbooks too) or an electric flickering tea light candle.

We're actually using electric flickering tea lights on our tables because FH's apartment building had a terrible fire in December 2005 and he's still a bit uncomfortable around lit candles. (I was SHOCKED when he said he wants a unity candle at our ceremony, but I guess as long as it's controlled and he has a fire extinguisher near him it's ok.)

I did votives for place cards --originally I bought frosted Avery labels, but I didnt like how they did not wrap all the way around the glass.

I bought vellum paper and printed on it, cut to the right height and wrapped it around the votive, secured it with double face clear tape that you can't see.

Another thing to keep in mind-- if you use stemmed votives like these you wrap around in a true cylinder-- if you use more of a shot glass type votive the paper needs to be a different shape as the glass gradually becomes larger at the top.... does this make sense? lol...
