When you get personalized unity candles, is the personalization printed on the actual candle or is it just printed on some kind of velum paper that's attached to the front of the candle.
Seems like a waste of $40 if it's just velum paper....

I made mine...I copied our invitation and pinned/glued it to a candle with pink ribbon roses and silver bows.

Re: Personalized Unity Candles?
My friend made ours. To be honest, it's not very difficult to do. If you're so inclined I think you could make one yourself. I would have, but was running out of time so I asked her to do it for me. She does this as a side job amongst other thing for all sorts of events so I knew I was in good hands.

I made my own with the vellum paper & it only cost me about $3. I also made my own memory candles. In total I spent about $13 to make 4 candles.

I got mine from them too. It isetched, then painted on the actual candle. They have other things on theor site too, not just Irish stuff. I recommend them!

Rose- check mine out. All I did was print on vellum paper and double side tape it to the candle - very simple!! it's in my DIY album.

Re: Personalized Unity Candles?
We are doing a sand ceremony and ordered personalized vases from http://www.mydivinewedding.com/ . They came out really nice. In fact, we had an engraving problem with the first set that I ordered, it was crooked, so I e-mailed in a complaint. The owner of the company, who is in Singapore called me to apologize and to see what specifically was wrong so that it could be corrected and gotten to us in time for our wedding(the manufacturer is in Canada somewhere)--at no additional cost to us. We got the replacement yesterday and are really pleased with the quality of the product.

Some print on paper, while others do it on the candle itself. If you are going the paper route, DIY (it's much cheaper!)
