Personal/Professional Name
I know I have a ton of time to figure it out, but everyone in my life seems to have an opinion so I figured I would get opinions from other soon to be brides.
I will be receiving my doctorate in psychology a month and a half before my wedding. I always thought I would take my FH's name without hesitation. He obviously wants me to take his name, and my parents think I should keep my current last name for my professional identity and use his last name for my personal life. I understand their argument. I have been working with a forensic population and will possibly do so until after the wedding in an internship, and having a seperate personal identity can keep my future family safe. But I think it would get soo confusing!
What do you guys think?
