I consider myself a realist, but a pessimistic realist--I tend to prepare for the worst, hope for the best. DH says I am too negative though. What would you consider yourself?

The exact same way as you...I would rather be prepared for the let down then gets hopes up and then fall for a huge let down.

Definitely an optimist. Always thinking positive and hoping for the best. I know, is not the best way to think sometimes.

I am a pessimist inside, but an optimist outside.
It's a job hazard of being in HR and always having to explain bad things to people witha positive spin!!

I am definitely the same thing..a pessimist with realist qualities..My dh is a big time optimist..he makes fun of me too!!

I'm the same.....I tend to think the worst of a situation before it happens...prepare for the worst, tend to be negative...DH HATES it.

Its funny. I am always a pessimist. In life, at work - which ofcourse is more like a realist.
However, when it comes to FH and me, I am the optimist of our relationship. Weird huh/

i can be realist/ pessimist/optimist all wrapped in one. i see the goodthings/ badthings depending on the situation when i am at work i alway's see the worst because of my bosses sometimes.but home i am alway's the optimist/ pessimist.

This is totally who I am. DH is so much more optimistic. I try to be more like that...but when you have had a lot of let downs in life you try to be prepared.
