Pet Peeve

This isn't meant to come across in a negative way but in a helpful one. Over the last few weeks a few girls have asked for phone numbers etc for vendors that advertise on this site. Why not look in the Wedding Services section first? You can find them here http://liweddings.com/services/index.asp

I'm sure some people, like myself, sign on and go right to brides helping brides, and don't really utilize the other parts of the board as much as we should - so when we need something like a number it is just second nature to simply ask it here - you make a good point though.

I see your point, but some vendors, such as Burtons don't advertise on this site.

jpsgirl - you're right! I was just thinking that I know when I want something concerning my planning I want it NOW! So, if I could have simply clicked to a different section I could have gotten it right away. No waiting!!! Just a reminder to all the brides.

SomedayBride - if a vendor hasn't joined LIWeddings.com by now then they should! I simply have no time to buy and look through magazines, and then go on appointment after appointment etc. I made all my vendor appointments from this site with the help of everyone here of course. It's just so much easier to be able to come here, look at the vendor's pages, talk with everyone and make my decisions. I just realized I'm starting to sound like an advertisment. I'll shut up now.

I asked someone for a number recently and didn't realize it was posted since I wanted to reach the vendor based on the person's review. Sometimes its good to go through brides directly b/c in addition to getting the telephone number you also get a contact person to deal with or you get other helpful suggestions (or phone numbers) that you wouldn't necessarily get from a website or vendor's telephone representative.

Just giving you another point of view
