Pet Peeve Spin-Off...Literally

Spin-off to our QOTD pet peeves and quirks...

Do your pets have quirks that make you go or annoy you? We all know that our pets have very unique personalities!

Re: Pet Peeve Spin-Off...Literally

Our pom Nutley is a little gentleman and won't eat treats that he deems too big. For example, if you give him an apple slice, he will take it in his mouth, drop it, then look at you like 'w.t.f am I supposed to do with this?' You have to break it into little bites for him to accept it.

The only exception to this is when our cockapoo is around, then he will run off with it and hide it somewhere.

Nutley will also follow you into the bathroom and sit by the tub because he likes to drink fresh water. He will howl at you when his water is not fresh.

Goober the cockapoo has to always have something in his mouth and it drives me crazy. He just goes around picking up everything and anything and parade it around.

He also will do this funny 'elephant drop' where when you pet his head, his front legs buckle to the floor first so his butt is sticking up in the air. THen he will drop his back legs and totally collapse for more rubs.

They also have to have what the other is playing with no matter how many toys are in the room! Drives me bonkers.

Love my babies

My pom does the same thing!!! If it's too big she'll **** her head to the side and just look at us...

Shes spoiled, I'm not allowed to kiss FH unless her face is right next to mine

She always has to sleep next to me or else she'll cry the ENTIRE night...

When I go to the bathroom, yup, she follows me in because Heaven forbid I go somewhere without her

She will pick up her food from her bowl, bit by bit, and bring it into the room that I am in to eat it... I think my dog has separation anxiety

OMG, my pom is exactly like that!! Except he's way more attached to FH even though Fh bought him for meee . But yes, he nibbles at his food and brings it into the living room and even at the dog park he'll sit by us, or follow us around even when our cockapoo is running around meeting everyone.

If FH leaves the house Nutley will lie against the door waiting for him to come back. If FH closes the bathroom door (RARE lol) Nutley will wait for him to come out again. Too cute, those two.

I think poms really do attach to their owners , FMIL's pom was also like this!

Our long-haired chihuahua is funny like that too!! He won't eat anything too big for him, and he hides his treats in the funny places! He also LOVES the bathroom! Anytime anyone is in there he will follow them - we don't care but sometimes are guests will be like 'Ummm Ashley your dog is watching me pee!' He loves to snuggle too! Whether it be on the couch or the bed, if FH and I are snuggling he has to be with us. He will balance on his back legs and wait for us to pick him up!

My husky logan will start 'talking' the second i get home bc hes hungry. Awooo awoooo wooo wooo woooo. Until he fed he wont shut up. He does this too when we're eating and he wanta what we have.

My pit mix also picks anything up and brings it to me. Once she brought me the mop and got it caught in the doorway. She also howls at the fire siren and goes nuts barking when she hears fireworks. Shes scared of garbage cans and barks at them when we walk. And she insists on sittinf in everyones' laps even though shes 60 lbs!

Our dog (a boxer) THINKS he's a puppy. He's 6! He has to know where i am at ALL times. If i get up to go to the bathroom or shower... he sits outside the door waiting for me.

If i'm about to leave the house I'm give him a 'cookie'. He gives me a dirty look and places the treat on the floor. I think he thinks: 'I'm not stupid, I know your leaving!' He WONT eat the treat til I come home. As soon as I come home he'll say hi and run for his cookie. (gotta love him)

Our dog DEF has seperation issues I feel bad everything we have to leave him b/c i know he gets upset and stresses

Every morning, like clockwork, our cat Dexter will jump on the bed and he doesn't really meow (he makes this weird noise that kinda sounds like a pigeon LOL). And if you don't pay any attention to him (as we shouldn't since the alarm hasn't gone off yet) he will take his paw and just start tapping our faces until one of us wakes up and pays attention to him. Once he sees us sit up, he darts to his food dish waiting for us to feed him. Yes somewhat cute, but highly annoying at the same time LOL

Weird! My pom saves his treats for when we get home too!!! And his food will be untouched until we get back, even if its a late work day. Thats why i hate leaving him when we go away because im afraid he wont eat!!! Hes such a people person

Us too.

He crewed our office door frame and walls. We just had the office redone so now he goes into a cage when we leave.

My pom does that too! I think it's because they want to keep a look out... either that or they really don't like us
