People in my office that make 3x more then me and cannot work a simple copy machine.

Amen! This is exactly how I feel where I work...I am constantly asking myself, 'How did these so-called executives get to the level that they are at when they can barely check their email'!

Speaking of cell phones: How about when people call & don't leave a message--then like 3 days later they say oh I called you the other night, why didn't you call me back? DUH-what do you think I am constantly checking for missed calls!!!Leave a damn message!

I taught all my friends a lesson - my v.m. says 'leave a detailed message after the tone and I will return your all' - if it's 'hey christine, emergency, call me back' - I don't! If it's that much of an emergency, leave the detailed message and I'll clal you back. Otherwise, I'm not calling you back!

When the guys I work for stare at their ringing phone-yet says 'can you answer that??'

or the best...

When I say 'Your wife is on hold' Yet they still pick up the phone and say ' John Marino speaking'

When the dishes are in the sink and the dishwasher is empty.

When your watching tv and someone says This is such crap! Who watches this garbage? uuhh, ME!

When people double park their precious Kia in a full parking lot

When your secretary thinks she's CEO of your company. Your there to answer phones honey.

Ooh....when you leave a really detailed voicemail for someone and they call back and leave a message like I got your call...call me back. Um, I left you everything you needed to know, you can't just leave me the answer? I have to call you again?

oh my gosh - there is this woman I work with that does this to me all the time....I leave here these really detailed messages, and then she calls me back, and says, 'you called?'...I think she seriously must just listen to the first few seconds of my message instead of listening to the whole thing, which wastes my time and hers in the end.

OMG I hate that too. Or if I email someone a really detailed email, and they call and leave me a message to call them back. UM hello - send the answer via email if I'm not there

People who call to tell you they are sending you an email, and then won't hang up until you receive it.

this is my favorite thread of the day.

the office manager calls me to tell me to check my interoffice email. she hangs up - and then I check it and it says something like, 'do you want to order lunch from the deli today'.

When I am driving in a parking lot and someone goes to cross in front of me, and they walk SOOOO SLOWLY. Gosh you don't need to run, but speed it up a bit!

I hate it when I'm having a conversation and people just come in and start talking, instead of waiting for me to finish speaking!

How about when people call your cell phone and you tell them it's a wrong number and then ask 'who is this?' Um...you called ME, the person you're looking for is NOT ME, why do you care who ME IS??????????

How about the ones that do that before they know it's the wrong number?? If you called me (at home or on my cell) why should I tell you who I am before you tell me who you are, OR who you want to speak with?????

so many-

I hate when people have a jacket on and wear sandals ( like in Nov)

I hate when people comment on your being sick-just say wow that ***** instead of saying wow you get sick alot

I hate when people eat fish in the office

I hate when people bring pets on the train-what if other are allergic?

ahhh I can go on for days

so I guess the people with pets aren't allowed to travel? they just have to stay home and not see their families, etc. during Thanksgiving and other important Holidays? If you have a suggestion as to how I am supposed to get to my parents house in PA with my puppy without taking the train, please let me know.

I hate when people stand awkwardly in elevators...like they walk into the elevator and face the rest of the crowd - what is up with THAT?!

Wow...I was actually talking about the train-as in why would you bring a cat on a NYC subway-

same sort of thing - people have to travel, and sometimes you have to do it with your pet

I hear you-just like I have to breathe and sometimes I like to do that on the train. Whatver-don't think you had to be nasty about it.

worst analogy ever

Meow arghhh

For real, put your claws away girls

yes...did you ever see the Seinfeld when Elaine takes Jerry's dad (I think it's Jerry's dad) to the nail salon with her, because he can understand Korean...that episode is so funny. Those nail salon people have a whole language of their own (aka 'making fun of people'

Re: Pet Peeves

When I open the door for someone, they can't be bothered with civility by saying 'thank-you'.

The same goes for when I am driving and I let someone in the merging lane ahead of me, and they can't give the 'courtesy wave'.

If I am at, say, a supermarket, very rarely does the cashier say 'thank-you' or 'have a nice day'.

Manners have gone out the window!!!

Oh, that reminds me, a MAJOR pet peeve is rude salespeople or rude receptionists at the doctor's office. When I call to make an appointment, they act like I'm bugging them. Umm, that's your job, babe!

oh me too! I ALWAYS say thank you, please, may I - so I hate it when people can't take the extra moment to be courteous.
