oh gosh, a huge one for me is if I give up a seat on the train for a pregnant/old person and they don't say 'thank you.' GIMME MY SEAT BACK PREGGO!

Same thing for holding the door for somebody and they don't acknowlege it.

I just retort 'You're welcome!'. I actually got in trouble for that at work recently! Surprise, surprise.

Because I'm the receptionist and I'm supposed to kiss everyone's @ss, but I refuse. So I gave the secretary an attitude and called 'You're welcome!' after her as she walked away. I did help her with everything she needed and she didn't say thank you, and it's a HUGE pet peeve of mine. But I did give her a bit of attitude. So she went to my boss. And I got written up.

WOW!!! That is completely 'G' rated to some of the matches that go on here. And nobody ever gets written up for anything it seems.

Oh I know! The attorneys could throw a computer monitor out the 42nd floor window and get away with it, but God forbid I use sarcasm! You have NO idea how annoyed I was by that, but they want me to be all nice, I'll kill 'em with kindness!

1)Misusing grammar that I remember learning if 4th grade ('should of' , weary in place of leary or wary, apostrophes and quotes where they aren't necessary or proper, I could go on and on on this one...

THIS! It drives me nuts. Please people, learn the difference between good and well, bad and badly, they're, their, and there! It's NOT that hard! Usually, when I'm talking to someone if it looks like I zone out, it's because I'm correcting their grammar in my head!

OOOOH, I forgot this one... people who think 'you and me' is wrong always, that it's always 'you and I'

ie, it's supposed to be 'between you and me' NOT 'between you and I.' It's NEVER BETWEEN YOU AND I!!!

You know who does this all the time? Kourtney Kardashian and I wanna reach into the television and slap her every time.

If anyone would like a subject vs direct object language lesson, I'll be happy to give it.

OMG ppl do this on fb all the time ... like if they post a picture of themselves with their sister, they'll say 'my sister & I', shouldn't it be 'my sister and me'?

idk, i was a math major in college, so language really isn't my thing, but some things are so brainless, like the their/they're/there that it reallllyyy irks me!

O...M...G...

I can't express in enough words how much I am bothered by that!!! I once saw a woman in the mall dragging her kid around and whistling to him like you would a dog. So I went into the dollar store, and bought her a collar. I gave it to her and said, 'Well, if your going to treat your son like a dog, than better make sure he looks the part'.

FH was mortified, but everyone was hysterical laughing, as was I. I think I got my point across!

When people at my job steal things from my class and use them and don't put them back!! I am ready to start a WAR over this.
