Pet Photography

I'm interested in possibly doing pet photography, I know its pretty popular in NYC but hadn't seen much about it around here.

Does anyone know of any studios on LI that do pet photography that I could maybe ask some questions of?

I don't know of any studios but I do know that Petco does it. I'm gonna bring my puppy for xmas pictures : )

Viewpoint Photography in Huntington. They are doing our wedding - we have 3 dogs which are going to be part of the ceremony. www.viewpointphotography.com

WENDY!! My sister used to work for Viewpoint!!!!!

Is Pam doing your wedding? I know she only does 12 a year...

I don't know if she remembers my sister (it was about 10 years ago), but her name is unusal....Marlena...

Pam is really big into Pet Photography...so she would be a great person to talk to

star...I can't believe I forgot about my sister...If you want me to FM you her email to ask any questions...she had the pet experience with Viewpoint...also she did portraits at Moto Photo years ago...

she teaches photography now...so I'm sure she could help you out...

Yes!! Pam is doing our engagement shoot with our dogs next week!! And she will be there for our ceremony. We are so excited! It's such a small world - the last time we were there meeting it ended up both FI & I worked with the son of one of the women who works there!

thats great...I know she has some major back problems...so I think too many weddings would be too much...but I know when my sister worked there...she was sought after...

I used to go over there, but I really doubt she would remember me...

My photographer does pet photography, he is a dog lover (he has a lab) and has his picture right in the store front of the studio. It's Fontana studios, in Merrick on Merrick Ave. He does beautiful work.
