I am finishing up my DIY of petal cones and I think I made to many. We are having about 170 at the ceremony, how many cones do you think will be necessary. I have a pretty large basket and only 17 fit in it. I really don't want so many baskets....what should I do?

Re: Petal cones...how many?
How about filling the basket, and then sticking additional cones between the first layer, but not all the way down...so you can fit more. But I think you may need a bigger basket if you only want one. 170 is a lot of people...how do you know how many are coming to your ceremony? Getting married at same place as reception?
I say the more petals the better, makes for a great picture!

Our ceremony is being conducted at the hall so I figured everyone who responded yes, will be at the ceremony. Thanks for the idea.

I am expecting 150 at the ceremony - I am going to do about 75 cones - I figure one per couple - but I am going to try to distribute them more on the aisles.

You could have thought of something more appetizing...like something that wouldn't clog your wind pipe...such as post-its, thumb tacs, paper clips...
