Petal cones...this might be a stupid question, but I'm good for those!

Ok so I was checking out petal cones and heres what I am thinking....

My ceremony is outside so my guests will be there as I do my recessional back inside...theres no them leaving and then me leaving as is traditional in churches... So usually the guests are outside when you go outside and they throw crap on you, right?

Well I am obsessed...must have the rose petal toss..but how do I do this? If they are throwing petals as I walk back down the aisle, do I put the petal cones only on the out side chairs?? If I put them on the chairs furthest from me, then if guests throw them, they'll land on other guests..not me...lol!

Maybe on the first two chairs of each row??

I can't do all chairs right, it just doesn't make sense, if the person is 10 chairs away, unless they are A-ROD, their toss ain't gonna reach me!

I'm also getting married outside and doing petal cones.
I think that because of the 'informal' quality of being outdoors that those guests seated too far from the aisle will sort of scoot out from their seats and stand behind the rows of chairs to throw (if they want to - my great-aunts are not scooting anyplace!). Do you have a lot of room out there? I think people who want to throw will make it around to do just that, same as a traditional church recessional - some people just stand in the back and some people like to be more involved.
I'm going to use a white basket and ask one of my younger cousins (not in the BP) to hand out the cones to guests. Good Luck!
