Petals

For those making petal cones and having petals tossed, are you using real or silk petals? If you are using silk, how many did you order? I have no idea how many to order - obviously the more you order, the cheaper it is per petal.

I am doing real. I told the florist that I wanted to have about 50 cones so he said one large box would be more than enough. Hope this helps.

I'm doing silk because so many brides said the real can stain. Also I felt I could get truer colors & a better combination of colors with silk. I totally guessed on the number, so other brides probably have a better idea on the actual number - I am SURE I overordered!

I am not doing petal cones, just going to have the petals loose.

I ended up getting 2,000 silk petals because I didn't want stains.

My guest list is HUGE (300+) so if you were having less, I'd do 1,000 and you'll have plenty.
