Did anyone order a petite size in a maggie dress? I did, the bridal suite attendant said I should because i'm about 5'4 and the average gown was really long on me...but now i'm regretting it. Is the torso shorter too, because my torso is long/average length? I'm just a little worried.

yeah...i'm worried because i'm a little over 5'4...but I took the bridal's suites sugggestion and ordered the petite...but now which I hadn't....did you get your dress yet?

I ordered it in petite too. I'm 5'3 1/2 and she took a ruler when I was wearing heels to see if it would be too short. It was exactly perfect.
Okay this *****, I am 5'2' and a size 2 nobody told me to order a petite, I have to find and check my order form now :(

i ordered a petite as well and it cost an extra 100
who would have thought that less fabric would cost more. as far as i know it is only shorter in the length.

Just wanted to say I did a little research on this before I ordered it petite. With Maggie petite has nothing to do with your dress size..it only has to do with the length in front.

I am almost 5'5, and I would never consider getting a petite dress....
I thought petite was under 5'4 - not at 5'4!!!

They told me to get it!!!! I didn't know...I was like ok..I figured they knew what they were talking about...I did put a transferable deposit down so I guess I can get the regular length if needed to.

hi! i ordered my maggie capri from bridal suite as well, and i was asured that its just the length of the skirt that is shorter, the torso is the same! my dress came in and i did not see a diff in the torso! don't worry, you really shouldn't have any problems. though i will tell ya, i am 5'2 and its still way to long! ~lacey

Same w/ me... I'm 5'2' and I picked up my petite Maggie last week, and it's still super-long on me. I wouldn't worry about it AT ALL, you will be fine!
And btw, to the girl who paid $100 extra for the petite size-- if I were you, I'd tell your bridal salon that you know many many girls who ordered a petite and DID NOT have to pay even a penny extra, and I'd pretty much (nicely) demand that extra $100 back.

Thanks girls...you made me feel a lot better! I actually called the salon yesterday and asked and they told me I should be fine too because it's only 3 inches shorter (which is good because I remember the dress was sooooo long on me, that 3 inches wouldn't make that much of a difference) and the torso is the same length as the regular sizes. They told me it should be perfect.

I think it should be fine..just wouldn't recommend it for a 5'6 bride.

they told me at bridal suite that they do not pay extra for petite, but that some salons charge extra for it to make more $!!! i believe fantasias wanted to charge me extra, not to sure though. i would ask for the $100 back! ~lacey
