We are getting married on site in a beautiful lush garden. I dont think it is necessary to get pew bows and I think they are ugly......and I dont want to spend the money. I just looked it up and it is $60 for 6. I know it doesnt seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things but I could think of 10 other things I'd rather spend $60 on!!!!
BUT FMIL wants them. I think I have to suck it up.

I've been wondering about this too. We're getting married at a church...the florist asked if I needed them..I'm not sure. I've seen then and they're pretty...but do I need them?

Originally we werent going to to cut down on flower costs but our florist came up with something very pretty and she said she will transfer them to our RH after the ceremony and use them for the grand staircase in the entryway of our RH. So seeing as we will get double use out of them, we decided to go with it. Otherwise, we were gonna skip it and the church is pretty ornate to begin with and prob doesnt need much.

I didn't want to do them but when I told FH that he got upset and said it would just look like regular church without them. I know I won't even notice them, but FH's view of me coming down the aisle is important to him and I want it to be perfect....so we're doing something REALLY simple, some spray roses and simple ribbon. I definitely didn't want huge tulle bows, just not my style....
....the lesson is, ask FH, he may surprise you! (this was the ONLY floral issue FH cared about...)

$60 for 6, doesnt it depend on what kind you get? I have pew bows but they are calla lily's and drambodium(sp?) orchids...or do you mean the tulle pew bows?

i agree, we are going simple because those big tule bow things are ugly if you ask me and FH wants something to make the church aisle look special for us

Yeah just the tool crap (so ugly in my opinion). If we were adding flowers it would be nicer but $$$$. Ceremony is only 30 minutes and we already cut out gazebo flowers to save a bit.

oh ok i was confused hahahaha. Yeah i am doing flower pew bows instead of actual bows lol. I saw one picture i loved that had orchids, and it worked out since i already have orchids in my cp's.

me too.....a lot of ppl are coming from out of state so I don't think they will make the church, so I figured we'd do 12 rows alternating to really cover 24. Hope this is enough.
