Phone call with FH

actual phone conversation that just occurred:

FH: So listen - I just asked J. to be in the wedding party.
Me: Who's J___?????
FH: You know, my friend J___. I grew up with him.
Me: Who???
FH: My friend J___. I had to have him as a GM. I couldn't ask the other 3 and not him.
Me: Again - Who is J__??
FH: He's very happy I asked - he felt left out.
Me: WHO THE F^%K IS J____?!?!?!
FH: Oh yeah - you've never met him. He and his wife were on the guest list I gave you.

So apparently now I am having 'J' in my wedding party. This is someone who is so close to FH that he must be in the wedding party but in the 3 years we've been together, I've never met him!

I don't know whether to laugh hysterically over this or kill FH. I am actually having someone who I have never met in my wedding party. Oh yeah, and 'he's very busy' so we probably won't be able to meet before the wedding! UGH!

Oh and now we're uneven. 3 girls, 4 guys.

Ugh, sounds like my FH. Apparently everyone is his BFF, since he has 9 guys, yes 9!!!! I have 5 girls...so how's that for uneven!

He just doesn't get it. If it were up to him - every person he has ever said hello to would have to be invited.

Now he texted me and said, we have to add J's father and his g/f to the guest list too. I swear I'm going to kill him.

Sandra - I just called him said shouldn't we both get a say in who is in the wedding? and told him I'm really annoyed that he did this when I had no clue he was even thinking about it.

His response 'what's the big deal?' We can squeeze him in the limo and stuff. The man is clueless.

I just told him that I would really like it maybe we could get together with 'J' and his wife before the wedding so the first time I meet him isn't at the rehearsal.

Oh and I'm not against being 'uneven.' FH is the one who has the problem with being 'uneven' and now wants me to 'just ask someone else.'

But I totally know what you mean!!!! FH and I discussed everyone we were picking before then... otherwise I might have had some girls he doesn't really like in the party. So we went for quality not quantity and I'm very happy about it.

Perhaps you and J's SO will become best buds now!!!
