Danielle and I are looking to get a phone hooked up in our new apartment. We are thinking about going with IDT. My mom has it and she likes it. What phone services do you have and what do you recommend? Thanks, Scott

MCI........it's the program that you pay one price and get all the long and local for as long as you want...........

I dont think we will be getting MCI. I have had many problems with them in the past with cell phone service. I dont think I would ever deal with them again.
As for the optimum voice, I was thinking about it but Dont want to have to deal with the hassle of losing phone service everytime my cable goes down or if there is a power outage. Im sure it doesnt happen that much, but I dont want to take any chances.

Verizon is too expensive from what I hear...but im sure since your Husband works for Verizon you get a better deal. Isnt Verizon around $80 a month with tax?

Optimum Vioce. It is good service, but you have to have optonline (not cableTV) to get it. It feeds through the cable modem.

Understood! MCI Wireless was AWFUL (I work for MCI)! But we resold cellular service (so it wasn't our network) and yeah, also agree cust svc STUNK.
We have the MCI Neighborhood but mostly because I get an employee discount. But I definitely like the 'all you can eat' deal ...

My FH works for Verizon as well, so really no choice!!! We have the Freedom Package, it includes, call waiting, caller ID, Call waiting caller ID, unlimited local, regional, long distance, and 411, call intercept, and voicemail. Package price is around $70 before discounts.

what is the idt and what company is it though? i've never heard of it..sorry to question on your question..lol
