photgraphers .HELP
Hi all ....I am soo stressing over this photography thing and cannot bear to go to another!! I LOVE Jovon...despite the cost and am willing to go for it BUT I went to meet Martin Willard (wedding Magic Photography)and was very impressed to say the least and am getting a lot more for the money. All of his work is digital which is amazing to look at and very high-tech but certainly not the norm..Does anyone know anything about him??? I will also post this seperately...Thanks..

My sister is a photographer and she says that digital is great for video, but they just haven't gotten it right for prints...I would be cautious...

I heard the same thing about digital pictures....
The pictures come out grainy. But they`re great for the video. Where else have you looked for the photographer?

I heard the same thing about digital pictures....
The pictures were soooooooo NOT grainy.they were not like my digital pictures I print at home....his equipment is very high-tech. These pictures were truly unbelievable....I couldn't tell the film ones from the digital...BUT I''m still weary. As far as who I've looked at..Cassarino..not my style.......Hal Lyman...strange..Patken....good deal..nothing special picture-wise...Martin Willard (digital) and Jovon.who were truly spectacular BUT pricey for what they give you.

I don`t mean obviously grainy, but when you compare digital pictures to regular shots, you can see a slight difference - at least the ones I`ve seen. Digital pictures blown up don`t seem to have as much clarity than the regular pictures. Maybe it just depends on the photographer and the equipment they`re using.

I agree with some of the other girls. Digital pictures have not been perfected yet. I would be careful with that.

digital photos
I saw a news show not that long ago that warned that digital pictures fade a lot faster. They claim the most high tech stuff lasts 10-20 years. I would think you'd want your pictures to last longer...just something to think about.

This is my opinion on your question
I too went crazy about choosing a photographer. I went to all of the photographers that you menitioned and then some. My reception hall Carlyle has three house photographers (Jovan, Creative Composition, and Behind the Schenes) I went to two out of the three - my favorite out of all that I saw was Creative Compositions (but they were expensive and for their lowest package you really didn't get a lot. Anyway I didn't even check out Jovan b/c I read many many bad posts about them. Yes, they take great pics - but so do many other photographers - they get bad reviews after you pay your money. I found Fine Art b/c of good posts (and I kept asking questions) I too didn't want to see anymore but I said let me go see them. They are middle of the road price wise (starting package is $3400 I think... but you get a lot for your money and I couldn't say enough good things about them. Do a search on Jovan - anyway good luck.Welcome New Vendors
