during the time from the end of the ceremony to cocktail there is 3 hours! is this a bad thing? I couldnt get the church to push the ceremony up like say 3:30

i think that's pretty common these days. ppl know it will happen. a lot of ppl will come casual to the ceremony then go home and change, get their hair/nails done, etc. and read to the reception. (that's what i've done)
for OOT guests, maybe recommend a bar or something for them to go to, in order to kill time

we have 4 hours from start of ceremony till CH... so basically will be about 3 hours to kill.. but also figure travel time can be another hour concidering its a friday at rush hour. and there is a bar at our RH for them to kill time at... i like having the extra time for pix... puts my mind at ease and i know i wont miss any of my CH or reception to shoot photos!

We have 3 hours in between end of ceremony and beginning of CH. Most will go back to their Hotel room or apartment.

we have 4 hours or so too, usually its customary for the brides parents to have a min open house for the ppl going to the church as a layover in between the recption,, This is what we are doin
