I would check out Michael O'Neill.....we met with them and she(his wife) is really nice and explains EVERYTHING you need to know about photography to you. They have some really nice books - It's worth checking out.

I met with Fredeericks and really liked him..what a nice guy, willing to work with your price and takes great picures..I met with Perceptions, except Anthony was out of town..so I met with his assistant, very nice and BEAUTIFUL work..my only concern was that it was a bit much of a photojournalistic approach than what I was looking for, to add a more traditional approach was getting up there in cost..I had originally thought I wanted mostly photojournalism, but then after looking at many photographers , I realized I wanted a mix of pictures..of different styles..Patken offered me that..at teh best price..Lisa Tang had great work as wll..Pigmentia right? I liked her work, but price was an issue and Patken had excatly what we wanted..I had an appt with Lisa but when we went to Patken..I cancelled..i REALLY put alot of reaserch into this..a photographer was one of my hardest decsions..but when I saw Patkens work..and found out their prices..I just dont think you can beat it..its my personal opinion..but I really think its true. Verdi and imagine does nice work too..very nice..Patken was just as good in my eyes and at a better price. I hope this is somewhat helpful..its hard because everyone has different tastes..I personally want a few traditional shots, lots of black and whites..a nice mix of candids and a great price. Let us all know what you decide.

I am using B rett M atthews and am very happy with my choice. They have a solid reputation and I loved their work!

Fine Arts came highly recommended to us by two different people. They have excellent prices as far as we were concerned, and you get your negatives when your albums are ready to be picked up. That was one of our requirements.

You forgot JoVan from your list. We found them very expensive, pushy and too big and busy to take the time to properly speak with us. We definitely had an appointment, but the sales woman who was assigned to us was totally preoccupied. She kept looking behind us either at a clock or at other people, and had trouble staying focused on our conversation. She left us a few times to do something, and it became extremely annoying. We felt if this is how they treat people before they get the money, one can only imagine what it's like afterwards.

I hope this helps somewhat.

I am also using B rett M atthews. You should go see them. They are flexible with what you want. You don't go by a chart or set packages either.

We booked Visual Concepts. we loved the candid work the the wife does. My sister used Ferlise in '99. Not sure if they are updated with digital though. That was something we definitely wanted.
