Hey Gals...So I have booked my venue, and I am going by from most expensive to less expensive, now next is the photographer and videographer, then lastly the DJ. So far I dont know what is too much, because all of the photo and video packages are or just about 5k when added together.
Is this normal or am i looking in the wrong places? Is it ridiculous for me to want something something around 3-4k?
Please help ladies, I do need your input

We paid over 6k for photo/video with a 12x12 album and 2 parent albums. Plus we get all of the high resolution digitial copies with the photo correction. Maybe I have expensive tastes but a lot of the photo/video we were looking at was well over 5k. You could save some money though if you don't want the parent albums.
I was looking into the photo journalistic places though. Like the smaller companies because I didn't want that big company feel or anything. But we are happy with what we booked.

I think 5k is standard. when you think about it these people are spending almost your entire day with you taking pictures/video. well that's how I calmed my mom down when she heard prices for photos lol by pointing that out.

who did you book? that's a good price for all that. if you get all the pictures on a disc you can easily make parent albums on shutterfly.com btw. that's what I'm doing, my parents love the albums from there.

2013er crashing! I paid less then 3k for my photo/video but thats cuz I got a discount from a bridal show. My photogs normal price is around 4k for both...

We booked S*tudio 27. We were going to do the shutterfly thing but my parents are paying for the entire reception hall so I wanted to get them a book at least. Then he threw in the second parent album with it, so we were like ok whatever.

I'm also just starting the photographer/videographer hunt. I have appointments set for the 2nd week in july, so I don't really have price quotes yet, but from what I gathered, I barely saw any photographers in the 3k range when combined. I think most were around 4-5k.

Oh and I should add that we got 2 photographers. It would be cheaper if you only had 1.

Thanks guys, you all made very valid points. Thank you for letting me know that this is the reality. I would appreciate it if you guys let me know what you all end up getting. I will be arranging appointments with lighthouse and benchwerk. I will definitely keep you guys posted.
