How much do you typically have to pay the photographer and video before the wedding??
I am getting so sick over these prices. I only work p/t because I'm finishing up with school( 2 years left) and my FH is working 7 days a week and we can't seem to save up enough money for this wedding. And trust me i've cut every cost, cut my guest list in 1/2..but still everything is crazy expensive.

my friend booked Duet Photography and Videography and they are pretty decent
i think for both services...you can get it for 4500-5000 with 20% down....check them out...they are in Huntinginton Station and their work is amazing

I am using Duet as well Mine was more in the $6K range, because I am getting a lot of extras

I gave 1/3 for photo down (1,000$), and 300$ down for video
I booked Twelfth night. It was $500 deposit and $500 within a month after the wedding. The balance was due one month b4.

So with Duet- you pay 20% at booking??
When do you pay the balance? Before or after you receive the photography?

we put $700 down. Then everything but $500 is due before the wedding, then $500 after the wedding to pick up our proofs. Check out Velvet Studios (thevelvetstudios.com) they have great packages and do great work! We told Bob we were on a tight budget and he totally worked with us.
