FH and I were thinking about getting a photo booth for the RH. We would put it in the sitting area outside the ballroom. I'm debating if its a bad idea since it may create lines.
If you think its a bad idea, please share why.
Thanks

Re: Photo Booth
Not sure. One one hand it's a great idea (saw it on bridezillas last night lol) esp if u can get a copy of all the pics that are taken and have someone there in charge of it who can put that pic into a signature guest book.
BUT.. it def will create lines and if you have it outside ur room your losing people from ur party.
i'm up in the air about this.

Re: Photo Booth
i was going to do this but now im kinda backin off from it. It def would be fun but i would really have everyone dancing, i know people wont be gone or too long i just dont want that to take away from it, plu sim also have a cigar rooller towards the end so that will be one more thing to take people off the dance floor
in the end its totslly up to you, it depends on whats important to you

Re: Photo Booth
I personally feel like photo booths reminds me of a sweet sixteen or bar/bat mitzvah. It's a cute idea but that's just the thing, i think it's a little too cute for a wedding. Just my opinion though.

Re: Photo Booth
FH really wanted one when he first saw it but then we realized we didn't want to spend so much on it. It's a fun idea, if you can afford it then go for it.
Everyone we've asked said it's been a great idea for weddings; you'll get a lot of crazy drunk photos. And it can serve as a favor.

Re: Photo Booth
is there a place to put it in the main room? we are having one and it will be in one of the corners of the room. that way, no one is really leaving the party. plus it will give the adults something to do while all the younger ppl are dancing too.

Re: Photo Booth
I think this is a good idea for a small, intimate, close family & friends oriented affair.
I feel like at a larger wedding it may create lines & general havoc. Also, if you want a dancing centered event, it could detract from that. In addition, if you're trying to gather everyone for certain songs, bouquet toss, cake cutting, this might cause a hassle.
Therefore, my answer to this depends on the size & style of your event.
However, ultimately, as always, I think it's your wedding and everyone has the right to have whatever they want on their special day.

Re: Photo Booth
We are considering using one as a favor. I think it would be a fun addition.. I haven't really thought about people leaving the party. Personally, I don't think people are going to be stalking the photo booth and waiting on a line to take pictures when there is a party going on.. it is not THAT exciting of a thing lol. We haven't made up our mind yet though, we don't really want to spend that much on a favor

we thought about it too, ulitimatly decided against it. Mostly becuase everyone talked me out of it lol but i didnt want poeple to be in the other room druing the party, we looked into doing a 1hr rental and having it at the CH instead.. what about that?

We had one and used NYC Photobooth. There was a line but it went by fast guests used it throughout the wedding and it was right next to the bar. If you have any questions feel free to FM me
