Because FH thinks we should have it threwout (bc the pics will be better as the night goes on) BUT I think we should have it only for the CH because i don't want it to take away from dancing...

we booked ours for the 4 hour reception. you have to think the cocktail hour is the time to eat. I always go to weddings starving. If you only had 1 hour with the photobooth it might not give everyone a chance to try it out....

FH and I are having ours set up before the ceremony (don't need people in the way during that or the CH), but it will only be operational for the duration of the reception.

I had one for the entire wedding. Trust me the pics do get better as the night goes on and your guest have had a few drinks, lol. But I also didn't want them breaking down the photo booth to leave in front of guest so I had the for the entire reception (excluding cocktail hr)

if you are getting one, definitely have it set up throughout the wedding. People will randomly pop in there throughout the night.

Def throughout the night. You are already paying so much for it so you want to make sure that everyone has enough time to go and use it throughout the night.

Def throughout! I know CH is for everyone saying HI and eating! At wedding that had a photobooth I loved sneaking in for a crazy pic or two! Sometimes there was a line, sometimes there wasn't. CH is only 1 hr long - there is no way everyone who would like to use it would use it then. Also, people would prob think it will be there the whole time and say, 'Oh, we'll use it later' and then it won't be there.

THROUGHOUT! It really doesn't make sense to set it up for cocktail hour. People only have 1 hour to eat all that food, have drinks and mingle with family/friends they may not have seen in a long while.
A photobooth is meant for the reception. It's not going to take away from dancing.

we had it set up through out because we wanted people to actually enjoy the view outside during the cocktail hour (which no one did bc no one knew to sit outside) plus the booth was set up in a small section of the cocktail hour area. people loved it and are still raving about it.
