I am planning on starting to make a few appointments with photographers and wondered if you ladies can advise about how much deposit they typically look for when booking.

i put down $800 which covered both photo & video

I put down $500 with my first and then we re-booked with a different photographer and had to give $800.

Our photog asked for 1/4 but we gave more so we'd have less trips to make payments.

we put down 500, but since i wanted my epics taken more than a year before our wedding, we had to put down an extra 500. Total deposit 1000
