photo editing software?

anyone know of any i can download to make my memory candles....paint stinks and i dont have photoshop

or whats what best photoshop to get if i decided to spend the money

photoshop elements - that's the beginner and cheapest version

goodluck!

i have to be ms. graphic designer here and really say the following:

Photoshop is not meant for text unless you are doing it with tons of filters, etc. It is for photos.

Illustrator and Indesign is what you should use for making any text items.

That being said if your not a person who really is going to continue to do layouts or play around its not worth the cost. You can do some okay stuff with a few microsoft programs that come pretty standard on pcs.
