While sitting with my photographer tonight to create a photo package, he strongly recommended having an additional camera person to do the photo journalism. Is this necessary and will it truly make a difference in my pictures? I want my photos to be gorgeous, but is the additional expense needed????

He is a Photo Journalistic Photographer so yea there will be a lot of Photo Journalisim and Formal. He said he does both and the other just does Photo Journalisim

honestly i love photo journalism, but it depends on what you want... i only wanted a few traditional bp and fam pics

I'm having 1 photographer & 1 photojournalist. The way they explained it to me is that if you have one photographer they will be too busy making sure they capture all the regular photos and all the moments and not be able to concentrate on the creative pictures.

I like the idea. you have the 1 photog that will get all your traditional pics and then the other which gives you a more honest and casual feel.

We had one photographer. He took a mix of photojournalistic and traditional pictures. We were thrilled with our proofs -- so much so that I had to add an extra 30 pics to our album!

Its a good idea to have this way you get the traditional posed photos, but you also get those candid shots that really catch the mood of the evening. I think the journalistic ones really catch the joy, happiness a couple and family feels on this day rather than the standard traditional ones.
