Photo location in case it rains?

Hi everyone,

My wedding isn't until July, but I wanted to start thinking about places to take photos in case it happens to rain on my wedding day (which hopefully doesn't happen, but hey--I can't control that...)

I looked on past boards, and I saw a lot of places in Suffolk and Queens, but my wedding and reception are in Nassau and I don't want to travel too far if possible. Can anyone suggest indoor places in Nassau County and/or near the Crest Hollow Country Club?

Thanks!

The Vanderbuilt isn't too far away. It says it's 22 minutes away on google maps.

I only suggest that b/c I was looking for the same thing. Someone did mention that they were closing down though, but you can call and check it out. They had indoor, outdoor, all types of spaces. It was beautiful.

Hey Michele!

I am freaking out about this as well. The Floral Terrace has NOTHING inside, so we will be screwed if it rains. I will start looking into this when it gets closer to my wedding.

CHCC has no insides grounds? That *****. You better start searching Mich lol. Since I am the best BM ever MAYBE I'll start searching for you

Nunley's Carousel just reopened near Museum Row

I always think bride and groom pics on a carousel are so cute! I don't know if they'd allow it though, just an idea...

On the day of my wedding, it POURED/hailed (in August!!!) and I didn't get as many outdoor shots for CHCC as I wanted.

What DH and I did was a 'day after' shots. We got Blue Daisy and went all over the city (Central Park, Grand Central, DUMBO) in our wedding gear (with our dog!). That's an alternative if you definitely want outdoor shots. GL!

[And if you need help filling up the minimum, I'd love to go back to CHCC ]

But sometimes you do luck out..so go about the day as you would and if you have to make changes then make them (that day)! I was married on the same day you were, however there was NO RAIN anywhere we went..we were extremely lucky..but we got pics outside like we wanted!! The forecast for my day was heavy rain and thunderstorms. But luckily for us..we didn't see any rain until 8 pm that night (when the reception had already started)

Thanks, I'll have to look into that. Hopefully it won't rain, but if it does, it would be good to have a place to take photos!
