Photo Montage

Is anyone doing a photo montage at their reception? if so who are they using and how much does it cost? I already got a videographer and photographer but i am wondering if they are the ones that do it or is it the entertainment company...someone please help!!!

I am doing one. My DJ is doing it... we get 200 pics taken and displayed on two 65 inch plasmas during dinner and cake and the baby pics in the beginning of the reception. Then we get to keep all pics on a CD when we are done. I am not sure an exact cost.. it was part of a package we got.

We are doing a Montage of our baby pix, all of our friends with us (since we all went to the same college) and our dating pictures leading us to our wedding. FH is going to put together the montage and our DJ, In the Mix, will set it up for us. I think your DJ usually would offer to do it for ou along with setting it up with either Plasma TV or Digital Screen. I honestly think that it's not hard at all to do the montage yourself! You could use the powerpoint but if you want, I can ask FH what program he's actually using! Let me know how it goes and if you need any help with it.

thanks...my only problem is that i am having a band and not a dj so i dont know if they will have the equipment. I am gonna check with mt videographer and photographer and see if they will...if not Chrissy gave me the info to her friend so if my people cant do it..i will see if they can just do that part!!!

We are doing the photo montage on 2 plasma scree tv's. Before we walk in, the church will be played. Throught the night there will be 200 pics played, when I dance with my FH it will be him and I, when we dance with our parents it will be us and them, They also take zap shots which they give us the disk at the end of the night. I'm not sure how much because it was included in the pacakge. I am getting this through my videographer.

We are doing one and our DJ is going to be doing it. It was pretty inexpensive but it was included in our package.

Our videographer may do one for us replaying the church during dinner. Our DJ is also capable of doing the pics, but we chose not to have it.

we're doing the photo montage too - at different points of the night they'll be pics of us as babies, when we were dating, with friends and family, with our parents and someone will be taking pics of the guests and streaming those on the screens as well. then during our second dance the DJ and video guy are working together to get our vows to play on the screen as well and other points of the actual ceremony. i can't wait to see it all come together!

We are doing a baby phot montage. Our DJ offers this. The DJ will also be taking pics throught the night a will be showing them on a screen. He also said he could have the videographer feed the ceremony through onto their screens and have our guest watch our vows while being seated.

Your D.J. usually does it, it;s an upgrade to the package you select. We got 2 quotes one was $300 extra and other was $450( i think). 2 plasma screens displaying it during dinner. It included a CD with the pics.

I am doing the photo montage too! It is through my DJ and it's a few hundred dollars for each plasma screen. Here are a few things you might want to take into consideration:
- If you are having your bridal party announced at the beginning of the reception to fast music, don't end it with a baby photo montage because it will go from up and dancing to down and sitting, so when you make your grand entrance in 7 min later everyone is pretty calm and the excitement is over
-Tell whoever is doing it if you prefer an entire montage or music videos as well. They sometimes automatically play music videos.
-Keep it short, because after about 20 baby pics everyone stops paying attention.

We are having a 50' plasma that will show our photos. My sister in laws cousin is going to put the CD together for us. He knows how to do it just like the DJ's so we don't have to pay for that... thank goodness. We are also getting video simulcast that will show the dance floor all night on the plasma.
