Fh and I are having a photo montage during our reception (our DJ is making it). We are including baby pics of us and of course pics of us together through the years. Would you include pictures of other people: pictures of us with our siblings as children? and the real question... pictures of us with our grandparents that are deceased?
We have different opinions about this...one says yes bc its about us and people important to us and one says it makes people remember them and think of them and may put a damper on what is intended to be a fun video montage.
what would you ladies do?

Re: photo montage advice
We did pictures with siblings, friends, and even those there are deceased. It didn't put a damper on the day and people just looked at the ones with the deceased and thought 'awww'. DH saw a picture of his grandmother and then his great aunt (his Godmother) looked at me with tears in his eyes and said 'it's like they got to come to the wedding, being part of this, thank you'. I'll never forget that.
The montage was pictures of us through the years but people are in our lives throughout the years and we couldn't avoid that. My older sister and I are in A LOT of pictures together when we were younger since my mom used to dress us in matching outfits but people loved to see that. And it was also a way to honor those that are important to me by putting pictures of us in the montage throughout the years.
I hope this helps.

Re: photo montage advice
I plan on doing one as well and having all of my family, living and deceased. I have a lot of brothers and sisters, so it's rare to find a picture of just myself when looking back! I have 3 grandparents who are deceased, but I still want to add them in pics. The only place I'm kind of iffy on is my FH's biological father. He has some pics of him, but he hasn't been around for about 14 years. I didn't even want to invite him (just hearing some of the stories about him), but I told FH that it's his choice. HTH!

it's totally up to you ... we chose to not have anyone else in our pictures because we didn't want to hear any complaints from anyone (eg: 'why did you use that pic of me, it's a horrible pic!' or 'how come you included so-and-so, but not me?!')
but again, it's totally up to you

Re: photo montage advice
We originally wanted to incude them in a seperate one, but its a lot of $$ and we only get 50 pics for the montage so I think we will include the pic of those special ones with us in the pics to remember them as we were growing up.

The pics don't stay up for too long, I dont think anyone is going to go into morbid reflection. I have a dead parent so it's a bit different, I can't imagine not including them in my slideshow... We are not doing grandparents though.
