So I had really wanted to go and meet with Duet as I like their work and I hear they are affordable, but they are booked on my date.
Can you ladies recommend photograpers that are affordable and good quality?
I've also contact Love More Photo & J'Adore Love but am waiting for responses.

you are JOKING me!! it looks like you are getting married on the same date as me.. i was really wanting to look into duet also. wow! what a serious bummer, i can't believe it.. it's a year away!! now i'm scared... hahaha.

Yes we're date twins! I know I was shocked as they have multiple photographers there too!!! Now I see I need to get a move on this.

Did you call them and firmly ask to make an appointment (regardless of what availability they show on the website or what the receptionist says on the phone)? I have a Sunday wedding also, and they gave me a little bit of a problem with giving me an appointment. I don't think a lot of the photogs like to work Sundays (if they have a Fri and Sat wedding booked). When I called them and asked to make an appointment to speak with someone directly, magically 4 photogs were available for my Sunday wedding when they originally said they were all booked...

Wow I am surprised they would do that. I had emailed a request and received a response saying sorry that they are completely booked that date. I ended up booking somewhere else, but thank you for the information.

yeah i don't believe they're actually 'booked'... haha. i looked through their calendar on their site and it looks like EVERY sunday says 'please call for availability' even when all the surrounding days are open... pretty sure they just think it's more polite to say they're 'booked' than to admit 'we don't do sundays.' but whatever! i don't want people taking photos at my wedding who don't want to be there. where did you end up booking?

I booked with Michael from North Island Photo. We clicked with him and loved his work and is very reasonable.

THIS! Some of our epics are in my album and our engagement video is on their website (Jen and Michael)

He actually showed us your video while we were in his studio, it was great!!!!

Were you at the showcase last night by any chance? We just met with Michael on Sunday and then I was sitting at the band showcase and I told FH I think that is the couple from the video Michael showed us!!

I totally agree with you, I'm not going out of my way to try and hire them if they're not interested in work for that day.

Yes we were there last night! That's sooo funny, FH got a kick when I told him we were recognized. Glad you liked the video and congrats on booking, Michael really is the best!
