Photo Resoration

I have a small photo of my father and I that I need cleaned up. We went to Eckerd's and it didnt come out the best...anyone know of any places around the Bay Shore/Babylon area that can fix up the photo for me? Its not in bad shape, its just a little blurry and out of focus..

If you want to come to the city, there is a great place on Lexington Avenue and 48th (I think). It is definately worth coming if you have the time. A co-worker had a photo that was very old and blurry and also was cracked and torn and they fixed it beautifully!

You could try it yourself if you wanted. I did a bunch of my old pics - I scanned them and then edited them with Microsoft Digital Pro. There's even a section for 'old photo restoration' in the program.

Here is a pic circa late 1800's of my grandfather in Ireland in his IRA uniform (notice his weapon...an AX on his hip! ) - this pic was in REALLY bad shape when I scanned it, but I think it came out pretty good when I fixed it!

eta: this is a scan of the pic and looks much better in person

If you want a top notch photo shop to look at it, there are great places in Manhattan that can do miracles. But if its just minor touch ups, I can save you the money.
