Photo spot near Marina Del Rey

well if you want a park setting, there's Pelham Bay Park (pretty big so I would scout out areas ahead of time)... only downfall is there may be a lot of people around and I don't know if you would need a permit for pictures.

you could also maybe go down by either the Throgss Neck Bridge or the Whitestone Bridge and get some shots with the bridge and water in the background.

You could also just go to the Marina itself and they have a bunch of spots to do pics.

Suny Martime is right near there (don't know if you need a permit) but they have a lot of nice spots to take pics, plus you can get the Throgs Neck bridge in the background if you want.

If you don't mind going over the bridge there is Fort Totten which is right over the throgs neck along the cross island parkway
