what type of horror stories? I used separate vendors for both. My photographer angelica glass, doesnt do video and infact many independent photojournalistic photographers dont do video themselves since they work for themselves.

I used pennylane for video and LOOOOVE them, and even if i went with a photography company that offered video, i wouldnt have booked video with them but with pennylane instead.

DEPENDING on whom you book for both, theres nothing wrong with doing separate vendors. Sometimes you have a company whose main focus is photography and their videography department isnt that great or as much focus on video. It worked for me bc my photographers whole concern is about photography and their only focus. My videography company, its their whole focus and what they always work on.
