photobooth?

photobooth?

FH refuses to get the photobooth. he thinks its tacky but i love the idea. i am a huge picture person i rarely go anywhere without my camera. so i feel the more picture we get the better.

my brother was at a weddign recently where they took polaroid pictures of the guests and placed those on the pages on the guest books where the people signed. i have a feeling this is cheaper than a photobooth lol and i still get my pictures but do you girls think this is tacky too??

i think the polaroid idea is supser cute. the photobooth at first sounded cool to me but now i dont like it at all, i think it may seem a bit over the top plus i have read reviews where girls complained because people spent too much time at the photo booth and not enjoying the actual wedding

We definitely want to get a photobooth but actually when I called the guy he mentioned the polaroid thing and I thought it was so cute.

I called Studio 4. I'm sure some photographers do it. Actually i think a lot of dj's offer it.

i would have the camera by the guest book and have them take pics of themselves (or guests of guests) or something. it's be really cool to see how everyones captured :)

i just figured to have everyones name & address that attended (for thank you cards). i'm probably wrong though. i know you write the bride & groom messages in too though.

i guess it depends on the book you get too

Re: photobooth?

FH really really wants th photobooth, but the company we could afford has really really bad reviews on the BBB, and one of the 08 girls is having problems with them.

NYC photobooth is fun, but its nearly 2k by the time you add on delivery and set up

Re: photobooth?

if you want to do the polaroid thing, you would have to try and get the cameras and film now, because polaroid stopped making the film for the camera's so by the time our weddings come around it might be harder to find the film

My FH thinks the booth is tacky too. I like booths, but not at weddings. Also, I want people on the dance floor.

Re: photobooth?

i don't think it's tacky at all. people have different feels and tones for their weddings and i think is a great way to add a different flair to it all.

with that being said, it once was on my dream list of things to have, but unfortunately I had to pick and choose between items on the dream list, so ultimately it got crossed off.

We are having a picture guestbook, but we're going to use a digital camera instead of polaroid.

getting a little off topic: another way I choose between items off my dream list is by asking myself, 'do i realllly need this or could the money towards this go to a bedroom set, or flat screen tv, or hardwood floors.'

sorry for the long reply!
