Photobooth

Is anyone doing an open air photobooth instead of a closed one?

Photobooth - Long Island Weddings

We got our photobooth through our DJ, Absolute Entertainment. We booked their super booth, which is an open air interactive booth. We wanted to get a photobooth but weren't sure that it would be worth it. The booth was in use the entire night and was a huge hit.

You first chose your photographer from six choices, each with a different personality. Then you would mimic the poses they displayed and then you had a few shots of your choice. They had a number of props to use as well. With the photobooth being open air it was easy for additional guests to get in the pictures. Our guests had a blast. The booth printed out one 6x8 color picture with our names and the wedding date in the middle. The attendant took down email addresses for the other guests and emailed out the pictures to all. The pics were up on Facebook before the wedding was over. No regrets on the choice, it was so much fun.

I went to a wedding over the summer and they had this photo booth and we had so much fun with it! We are doing a photo booth but decided to go with the one our photographer was offering. It's called the Ruby Booth and I love it because it looks somewhat vintagey and that is the theme of our wedding.

We did the open air photobooth with Ovations and it was such a great decision!!! All of my guests loving being able to do pics with more than 3 people, which in a closed booth even 3 is tough!! It was touch screen and you got to choose B&W/color. You can see yourselves on the screen so it's easy to pose. LOVED it and guests had a blast

We are on the fence with a photobooth. We know how much fun they are but not sure if we need one at the wedding.

So excited to hear this! We are using absolute and got the super booth too! I am also a timberpoint bride, where did you put the super booth?

We're using We <3 Photobooths and are so excited! We saw them at a friend's wedding this summer and the quality of the photos was AMAZING - they printed pictures for everyone in the photo (so 5 if 5 people, 3 if 3 in the picture etc) and they all came out looking like they'd been retouched. The pictures of me and the bride from the Photo Booth were way better than the one I have of us from her photog lol.

There's a lot of backdrop options or you can have them set up your own, and they have a range of pricing based on how long you want them - this was something we never thought we wanted until we went and experienced it ourself and now all of our friends are pumped to use it at the reception!

We got our photobooth through our DJ company. They had the option of doing an open photobooth but FH and I both decided that if we were going to have an open one, it would be the same as the photographer. We felt that the whole fun of it was just that you go in, act ridiculous then come out and get to see the pictures. IDK that was just the way we felt.

We had the photobooth near the bar. There is an empty wall that was the perfect size and ensured that people will always be walking by the booth yet not not in the way at all.

yea we felt exactly the same way which is why we got a closed one... i do see how the open air would be nice because you can fit alot more people though

awesome thank you! That is what they suggested but I didn't know if it would be in the way of any tables sitting too close. They also suggested we could put it in the cocktail hour room and leave the doors open or on the dance floor on the opposite side of the dj booth.

We bought props ourselves for much less than it would cost to have a photobooth and attendant and then feed said attendant.

We will be setting up a tripod and camera at our venue and the guest can take pic of themselves as there will either be someone waiting to go next or watching their friends and family have fun.

My FH nephew did it this way at his wedding and we loved the idea. Some of the props can then be used at later parties &/or Halloween.

We even got lightsabers. Yes we are geeks, but we will not go so far as to dress up as our favorite characters for the wedding, there are many things we are traditional about, but we want to add some fun to it too.

If you are interested in doing it this way look for sales from other brides or oriental trading co. and other places like party city. We went to Spirit Halloween the day after Halloween and got 50% off and still spent about $175.00

Congrats and good luck. :)
