Photocube Questions....

Ok I did a search and have gathered some of the materials but I am still a little confused on some things...

1.. How does it open?? How do you get the cards out???

2. What do you use as the base...and where did you get it from???

3. Should I get the pics and put them in the frames before constructing this thing???

4. The tops of them where the material covers looks fluffy like a pillow...is that the material or did you put some kind of batting underneath???

5. Where do I get those L brackets from???

I think that is all for now

Kathleen, we haven't finished ours yet, but the top where the slit is will open. It would be easier to put the pics in b4 finishing construction. I got some batting underneath at Joanne's that I will put over the styrofoam & then the material on top.

Ray got the L brackets & other hardware at Home Depot.

We bought a La-Z-Susan from doityourself warehouse so it will spin & Ray is attaching it to a piece of plywood.

We used styrofoam on the top and bottom. Our spinny thing on the bottom was kinda wedged in, so we just put the styrofoam in the box and it sat on top... when we were finished we were able to just pull out the spinny thing and the cards came with it.

2. What do you use as the base...and where did you get it from???

Styrofoam and... I think its a lazy Susan type thing (for spices) which we got either at BB&B or Target. We used the 11x14 frames and a 12 in circle fit almost perfectly. We had to sand down the edges a little.

We didnt make ours puffy, we just covered the styrofoam with a black hankerchief and decorated it a little
