I'm making appointments to meet with photographers. I called one company and they said that on a weekend (the only time I can do) I wouldnt be meeting with the photographer, it would be the office manager. Have any of you ladies done that, would you do that? Help!

i think this is quite common...for many companies you wont meet the photographer until your wedding or your engagement shoot.

Re: Photog Appt question
yeah, our photog couldn't meet us during the weekend either but it wasn't actually that bad 'cause we met him during the week at like 6pm. He doesn't even do engagement pics during the weekend either

I'm guessing Duet. That's what we did. I know a lot of people wouldn't be comfortable with it because they want to establish a kind of relationship with their photographer. This wasn't important to me. Their work speaks for itself. We booked on the spot.

Re: Photog Appt question
On wknds its going to be hard to meet your photographer because they are most likely out shooting events. I personally want to meet my photographer b4 hand so Ive been having meetings on wkdys or lucking out when they have a time available on a wknd.

i don't know that i would book with someone i didn't personally meet...i met with thomas paul for the first appointment and got to ask all of my questions without having to worry if the answers from the office manager were going to be the same as the photographer

Check out T&T Photography! Hal is always available to meet.. weekends, weeknights, whatever. Obviously, if he has a wedding, he cant though.

Re: Photog Appt question
We met with the 2nd photographer at our appointment and chose our main photographer from the books and fell in love with his style.
If you have any concerns, then I can't see why you wouldn't be able to ask you questions and see if the photographer would meet you for a few minutes, but I didnt feel like I needed to do it.

Re: Photog Appt question
that is common for them not to meet on weekends...they have affairs booked etc. we made appts week nights because to both of us it was important that we met the actual photographer we were working with. after all, they are going to be by your side the entire day and i think it is important to feel comfortable with them.

Re: Photog Appt question
I am sure that this is common, but I would def ask that when you have your e-shoot, and you aren't feeling that photographer if you can use a different one.
