Photog Question

Just starting my photo/video search. I've read other girls reviews that its important to have 2 photographers, I was wondering if there is a huge difference in price from having 1 photographer than 2. Any info is helpful.....and please FM if you don't want to post prices.

Many automatically include it. I just booked with Imagine Studios. Lia is the main photographer...but she has someone else with her to capture candids. The 2nd photographer was included in the price.

It's not bad.. lol. And I've heard awesome things about Hal! I think everyone knows when they meet 'their' photog why that particular one is right for them. You saw Hal's work and loved it, so your pics will be amazing!!!!

Re: Photog Question

I was asking the same question when I started looking for photogs. Some will push a 2nd so you will spend the money. Others include it in the package. I asked a freind from college that is a wedding photographer if I needed a 2nd (knowing I would get an honest answer from her)

A good photographer should be able to get all the shots on their own with an asst. If you are having a large wedding 300+ then she suggested a 2nd.

I have a 2nd but only becasue it was included.

Re: Photog Question

We're having 2 photogs and an assistant. To me, it was very important to have at least two photogs, but FH was cool with just one. But I worry about equipment failure, God forbid someone getting hit by a bus, etc., so I knew I wouldn't be comfortable booking with someone who just gave you one for the price. The assistant was just an added bonus, and is putting me more at ease. It was definitely one of the deal makers for choosing ours.

Re: Photog Question

usually you base the number of photogs on the number of guests....the wedding world says if you are having more than $150 than its better to have 2 photogs to cover everyone but its a personal preferance. I have 2 because I have 280 guests and a large bridal party. I also wanted one to focus on traditional pics while the other took random candid shots throughout the night
