Photograher and Videographer

What is everyones opinion on using the same place for both photographer and videographer? I was planning on using different places and some people are giving me nightmare stories on them not getting along. Any input would help:)

I got my videographer through my DJ and I am completely thrilled with both my pictures and my video. For the record, no one I spoke to seemed to find anything unusual about the fact that my photographer and videographer did not work together. Go with your gut, and do what sounds right to YOU! : )

Well that is what I was thinking of doing using the video through DanceJock. I am glad to hear from you because I didnt know anyone that has used their video. What photographer did you use? Most of the photographers are telling me I would be better off using their video but I am getting the screens through DanceJock too and I am nervous about the lighting. Besides I loved the videos that they had to offer.

I don't think either way is a diaster...it just a matter of experience.

It seems that most photo/video combos save you money but the talent tends to be in one or the other. For example, a small photographer who is getting more sucessful may add video to their services but its probably not the best video.

My suggestion is to find a photographer you love and a videographer you love - if they happen to be at the same place - great! But don't limit your options.

I used Laurie Studio for my photographer, and Dancejock for my video. We also had screens from Dancejock, and there was no problem AT ALL with lighting.
Dave was our videographer. We loved him! : )

DJ and Videographer

After seeing the raw footage from my wedding video, I could certainly see an advantage to having the DJ company handle the video. Since the DJ is running the show, and the videographer is trying to capture it as it unfolds, it would seem that it would be a nice plus if the DJ and videographer worked together well .. more so than the photographer and videographer.

I never thought of it that way, but I think you're right!
