Photograph Sites

My fiance & I are having pictures taken before our church ceremony. I started looking for places to have pictures taken. I'm looking into the Oyster Bay Arboretum & Westbury Gardens. I like them both...The Wetbury Gardens has an inside in case of rain but is very expensive. The Arboretum is also very pretty but doesn't have an inside if it rains. I'm getting myself all stressed out over this. Has anyone had pictures taken at either one? HELP!

Re: Photograph Sites

Thanks....How far in advance do you have to get a pass? I just need to find a backup indoor place in case it rains......

Re: Photograph Sites

Call them 2-3 weeks before and ask them to mail you the application for the permit.

Re: Photograph Sites

I booked Old Westbury Gardens, it is way pricey, but I rationalized the cost because of how beautiful the gardens are and because of having the inside of the mansion and the veranda to take pics in the event of rain. God forbid, knock on wood, it rains, my pics would have been all inside my hall (which is not that big), this way I still have an amazing location for pics.

Re: Photograph Sites

I have the paperwork for OWG but I'm not sure what sites to use since I've never been there. I'm going to try & check it out this weekend. Which sites did you use?

Re: Photograph Sites

I took pics at Oyster Bay. I really loved it. If you do a search using my user name you can see my proofs.
