is it too 'out of control' to give the photographer not only the names of people we want pics of but also a tiny pic of them so they can spot them and snap away? also a name/pic of a stepmom we don't want many pics of? (i know this sounds horrible but...)
honestly, too much?

Re: photographer
Well I think giving them the name and possibly a pic of who you don't want is ok but giving them the pics of people you do want is a bit too much.
I'm just going to make a list of pics I want with people and give it to the photographer. It will be too much for him to gather the people since he doesnt' know them so i will have my bridal party help me with the large group pics. Or I was thinkiing of having my dj annouce that certain half of the family need to go to the garden or something like that.

Actually....I've heard of photographers who totally encourage this! It makes TOTAL sense if you think about it, no?

I feel like they are going to be so preoccupied with your list - it is going to be like a scavenger hunt and you may miss some pictures that you didn't even imagine you wanted - that's what proofs are for - you pick what you like not what you dont

I think that's absolutely ridiculous. I've never heard of, or would even think of such a thing. throw away the pics of the people you don't want. you will only get the proofs. you simply don't order any pictures you do not want. make your life easier.

Re: photographer
While I don't think it's a bad idea...I think it might be time consuming for him to look around for ppl and try to match them to pictures. He might miss other important moments. I think it might be a good idea to give him a pic of who you don't want though.
