I am using Pro Line studios for my wedding at the Westbury Manor this September. I was very pleased with their work as well as with Mike, who I met with at their Great Neck Studio back in June, 2000 when I booked them. I found their price to be very reasonable...$3,800 for the photographer/videographer. I have known people who have used them before and I have received nothing but glowing remarks about them. Just last month, I met with the photographer that they had assigned for wedding and we were so pleased with his work and his personality. Best of luck with everything...I hope this was somewhat helpful!

That's funny-we're also getting married at the Westbury Manor and we also hired Proline. Julybride02, I was also impressed with them. I dealt with Joe and we've already done our engagement pictures there, and everyone has been very personable, not pushy at all. Lisa, who is your photographer?

I'm getting married at the Westbury Manor next July 4th. Thank you for the input, I may go and make an appt. with them and see what they say to me. I went last yr. and I really didn't like there attitude but that was a yr. ago and things change. Thank you again.

Our photographer is Bill; who is yours? I had met with Dave prior to Bill and I wasn't as thrilled with his personality...

Last May when we booked him he said it would probably be Tony, but I think I'll double check. I want to make sure it's not this Dave character who I've heard some bad things about (personality wise, anyway). Good luck!

Sherwood
I thoght Sherwood was excellent. I am a photographer myself and I can tell between a good and a bad photograph. I notice little things that some people wouldn't. I also took a class with one of the owners, it was an advanced printing class and his work was incredible. I would have booked them but the guy that I spoke with was an ass, I still think that I probably should have but I am happy with my studio so I am sure things would work out. I would highly suggest them b/c they really do QUALITY work. Alot of studios do o.k. work and I think that their work is really abouve alot of other studios on Long Island.

Sherwood Question about Sherwood??? to Christine
I went to see them - but I didn't like the idea that you don't meet with the photographer - do you think you should go with the reputation alone? I went to Fine Art and you get to meet the photographers but they cost more - I ruled out Sherwood b/c of this - did I make a mistake - is there no reason for me paying the extra money? I know it's just your opinion buy I'd appriciate it. Thanks - and who did you decide to go with?

no mistake made
Well it is important to like your photographer but you should really base your decision on who's work you like best. Generally you meet with a sales person at studios because the photographers are photographer and not sales people. If you like Fine Art's work and met your photographer, I would book them because if the work is good and you like the photographer then go for it. I never saw Fine Art but I have only heard good things about them. I booked Frank @ Jovon Photography, I actually booked with him directly, so I was lucky to meet him, we also got a second photographer and I let Frank pick him out, & then saw his work and approved of him. Mike and I actually went for our engagement shoot on Friday and we met the other photographer, he was a little doofy but I could tell he really knew his stuff, we actually had a good time with him. I was a ham the whole time and I haven't felt comfy in front of the camera in years so I am very happy with my decision. I hope this helpsWelcome New Vendors
