How early should you book your photographer? Is it the same with the RH... book as early as possible so you get the best rates (i.e. book photog. for 2008 wedding now, in 2006 so you get 2006 rates??)

the photoprapher was the 2nd thing we booked...we locked in a great deal...and i am soooo glad we did it early because we wanted to upgrade later and they didn't want to give me the 'deal' anymore....they had a new deal, but it was more $$$.....since i saved EVERYTHING they had sent me and given me (paper and email) they agreed to honor the previous deal...it was worded 'you lock in these prices.' not 'you lock in the price for the package you book.'

that said, for all your planning, save ALL written correspondence and emails...i made a sep. email account for the wedding to make it easier. it comes in handy. also, anytime i call a vendor that i can email, i email him first that i am calling and email them afterwards about what we discussed and get confirmations....then i have written proof....with my cell phone bill all i can do is prove i called a vendor...not that he/she said i could get 15 centerpieces for $400 (obviously made up amount)!
