We had an appt today at creative compositions.. we both loved their work but it really is expensive..i mean about 8-9k for pictures and montage! we are getting a good package but thats just too expensive.. does anyone know of another photographer similar style to them but a little more reasonable in price?? we have been to duet and jeffrey studios so far and we have appts with verdi 12th night and camelot..my BM suggested camelot to be similar but i havent heard much about them..

I've heard good things about Verdi and their work is beautiful. It sounds like you have excellent taste and want nice pictures. It will cost you at least 5-6K for a decent photographer.

We're using Visual Concepts (Bob and Debbie) who we love. and are wonderful. Check them out.

My advice to you is never pick a photographer by the cheapest. You get what you pay for with photography. even if you get less proofs and better quality...a good photographer doesn't need to give you a million proofs to prove he's captured your entire day. They should be artistic and reflect your day as it happened. I definitely reccomend getting a photojournalist, and using digital not film. they can do so much with digital photography!

have fun and go with your instinct.

I met w Visual Concepts also...They were wonderful. The package we were going to get thru them was 6K. They have a larger one too but the 6K one has everything in it you'll need. We ended up going with another photographer, Michael from North Island just because he has shot at our reception venue like a million times but I would HIGHLY reccommend Visual concepts because they were equally as great!

Twelfth Night is the best! It is the only one of my vendors I feel completely confident in. Of course I like my other vendors but I can't wait to work with them. It's going to be great! The prices are awesome. Let me know how your appt. goes!

Re: Photographer

Check out Imagine Studios (who we are using and blew me away after visting 6 different photographers) or perhaps Verdi, I've been SO impressed with every single set of proofs I've seen from them.

Re: Photographer

We checked out Visual Concepts, Imagine and Right Angle studios. Visual Concepts and Imagine were wonderful but somewhat out of the price range we wanted to spend. We choose Right Angle because he was more in our budget and, to be honest, he was a better fit for us. I think it makes a big difference to like the photographer you are looking at. We found some photographers to be a little stuck up and arrogant and George from Right Angle was exactly like us... he loves what he does but was still able to joke around with us and not take himself too seriosuly!!!
