Hello again ladies!!! So I have my Venue and I have my Church. The next vendor I need to book is my Photographer. I am definitely on a budget and can't spend crazy amount of money. Anyone have any advice for me? I was considering making an appointment to speak with the people at duet. Are they reasonable?

I used duet...they have a few different packages depending on what you want...i took out an engagement session just to stay in my budget...they do wonderful work...my cousin also used them in 08..best of luck!

I was on a super budget and used Lighthouse Photography Studio. They are amazing!!! I am in love with my wedding photos and had my digital and physical proofs in 2 weeksThey really go above and beyond for their clients! FM if you want any more info.
Im not using Duet but I did see them and they do nice work.

just wondering bc i am in the same boat ..
when you book with one of these companies .. do you get to see the specific photographers work as well? or they just show you what their company has to offer..
id like to see what/and WHO im paying for =)

Thanks for the ideas ladies!!! I have off Monday and so does FH so I'm going to try to make a appointments. Ugh I Booked my Venue and Got the Church and I figured I could breath a little...... who was I kidding lol. Dumb question: Do they actually give you prints or are those a lot extra? I Looked at a few packages online and they didn't mention actual prints. Maybe I should do a little more research before I go in there looking like a deer in headlightsHow many photographers are you guys doing? I was going to try to go with one to save some money. Good idea or...? All opinions welcome

My photographer (lighthouse) gives all prints 4x6. If you don't see packages available online for photographers email them! I am doing one photographer for my wedding day & a videographer.
And when I was told the photographer I would be getting I asked to see her work. Lighthouse was more than happy to show me all of her work & I was able to view 2 different weddings from the start of the day to the end. & one was actually at my RH so that got me even more excited!!!![]()

Oh wow thats awesome!!! Can you FM me how much your paying? I emailed them and they sent me a few package prices. I wanted to call them but was working all day. I was looking at wedding pictures and getting slightly teary lol. I have been waiting for this day for & years (in April) and it will be close to 8 years when we finally tie the knot =]

I got married this November at the Riviera... it was amazing... I'm happy to see that's your venue too!! It was flawless!!!!!!!!!
Anyway... I used Dan Wagner... he's a vendor on this site... and his prices were amazing!!
I didnt do an album package - just 9 hrs of his time, a link to my photos and my cd's... He came under the budget I thought I'd have to work with!!
AND the best thing... I got married on a Friday. I had the web link to my photos the NEXT DAY.. and my CD came the following tuesday - YES...four days after my wedding.
He was amazing to work with and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat!
